STACY'S BOOK NOTE

Work in a playful, relaxed manner

Those who work in a playful, relaxed manner tend to work efficiently and
creatively.

Haemin Sunim

Haemin Sunim, a Buddhist Monk who was born in Seoul and educated in the U.S., became popular through his posts on social media. The things you can see only when you slow down is a collection of those along with his thoughts on how to be calm in a fast-paced world.

Here is the full text of the entry from which I took the quote:

Those who work in a playful, relaxed manner tend to work efficiently and creatively.

Those who work nonstop, driven only by stress, work without joy.

To keep doing your work for a long time, do not treat it as just work.

View it as a source of enjoyment and growth.

The road to happiness lies not just in finding a good job,

but also in learning to enjoy what you are asked to do.

While I don’t always recommend the books for which I write book notes, I do recommend this one not only because it has lovely artwork too.

More importantly, however, how might you work in a playful relaxed manner?

Crochet notes

Please excuse this proud mama, as I showcase my older daughter’s crocheting abilities. I taught both of my girls to knit and crochet. The student has surpassed the teacher. She made this little baby Yoda for a friend. Since I haven’t been doing much knitting, I may showcase other amigurumi she has made in the coming weeks.
